Majid Ghaderi is a Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Calgary. Before joining the University of Calgary in 2007, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he worked with Don Towsley and Jim Kurose in Networking Research Laboratory.

Majid received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 1999 and 2001, respectively. He received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in 2006 under the supervision of Srinivasan Keshav and Raouf Boutaba. He is the recipient of the Nortel Networks Research Excellence Award.

Dr. Ghaderi's research interests include wireless networking and mobile computing, with emphasis on design and optimization of wireless network protocols.
