Saikat Sarkar passed his MSc Oral Defense on April 30, 2012. Saikat’s thesis, “An Empirical Analysis of Network Coding in Peer-to-Peer Video-on-Demand Systems” was reviewed by his supervisor, Dr. Mea Wang, Dr Payman Mohassel from the department of Computer Science and Dr Hung-Ling (Steve) Liang from the department of Geomatics Engineering.
Ali Abbasi passed his PhD Candidacy exam on April 30, 2012.
Pengwei Wang passed his PhD Candidacy exam on April 27, 2012.
Mohsen Alimomeni passed his PhD Candidacy exam on April 24, 2012.
Jibran Rashid passed his PhD Oral Defense on April 24, 2012. Jibran’s thesis, “Limits and Consequences of Nonlocality Distillation” was reviewed by his supervisor, Dr. Peter Hoyer; his supervisory committee Dr. Gilad Gour from the department of Physics and Astronomy and Dr. Lisa Higham from the department of Computer Science; Dr. Alain Tapp from the University of Montreal and Dr. Stefan Wolf from the University of Lugano.
Ealaf Sameh Selim passed her MSc Oral Defense on April 20, 2012. Ealaf’s thesis, “Requirements and Reuse in an Agile Environment for Tabletop-based GIS Applications” was reviewed by her supervisor, Dr. Frank Maurer, Dr. Anthony Tang from the department of Computer Science and Dr. Richard Levy from the department of Environmental Design.
Miaosen Wang passed his MSc Oral Defense on April 19, 2012.
