NTP Server

It was discovered that the western most public time servers in Canada were provided by the University of Regina and University of Saskatoon. To help reduce the load on these servers caused by an ever growing number of internet users in Canada, we decided to contribute to the Canadian internet community by providing additional time servers.

Our public NTP servers are NTP v4 stratum 2 and are accessible at:

ntp.cpsc.ucalgary.ca

and

ntp1.cpsc.ucalgary.ca

If you'd like to sync your *nix system to our NTP servers we have a sample configuration file.

PLEASE NOTE: Our stratum 1 server is no longer available due to abuse by an unnamed home router manufacturer. For those sites that had legitimate peering arrangements with us we apologize for the inconvenience.  If you wish to re-establish the peering arrangement please contact us.
