Email services are provided by the University's Information Technologies group (UCIT) and not the Department of Computer Science.
Obtaining Email
To activate your email account, please register online for a UCIT account or in person on the 7th floor of Math Sciences.
For your convenience, your CPSC username will match your UCIT username.
Once you have a UCIT email account, please ensure you have set a preferred email address. This is the address we use to send you system notices. If this is not set, our email communication will not reach you.
Forwarding of Legacy @cpsc.ucalgary.ca Addresses
The CPSC email service was terminated Friday September 21st 2007 and is now maintained by the University's Information Technologies group (UCIT).
Forwarding addresses which were configured prior to the switch will be maintained. To change your @cpsc.ucalgary.ca forwarding address, please contact us directly at help@cpsc.ucalgary.ca.
Email Settings
To send email from and receive email to your UCIT account, please configure your email application with the following:
- Incoming mail server: imap.ucalgary.ca
- Outgoing (smtp) mail server: smtp.ucalgary.ca
