Abstract:
Have you ever wondered what you can do with a Computer Science degree? Have you ever wondered what it means to be a Software Developer, Software Analyst, Business Analyst, Team Lead, System Architect, Game Developer, Game Designer, etc.?
This series will give you a chance to explore the various opportunities that are available once you have your degree.
We will invite previous Computer Science graduates to come and talk about their career. What have they done since they left University? What skills did they need? What is it that they actually do? You will also get a chance to ask them what they look for when they are hiring graduates from the University.
Come join us for coffee, tea, juice, cookies, etc and use the informal setting to ask any questions you may have and explore possible careers in Computer Science.
If there is a particular career or position that you are interested in, also e-mail Nathaly Verwaal (verwaal@cpsc.ucalgary.ca) with your interest and we'll try to incorporate it into this series.

- Bio: Brad Jones, a U of C CPSC alumnus (BSc '95, MSc '02) and owner of Circle V Software, is an independent software and systems consultant / contractor. Beginning his career at the Alberta Research Council, he then moved on to several startup ventures during the .com era before forming Circle V Software. Brad's company focuses on providing software consulting services to small business, requiring involvement in most areas of software projects (requirements, design, development, testing, project management, etc.). Brad has delivered solutions in several industries including logistics, manufacturing, physical warehousing, entertainment, social media, communications, and oil & gas.
