Active Badges are a personal locator system. This is a great video for discussing the ethics of privacy. I usually introduce the notion of a programmer's social responsibility, and ask them what they would do if they were asked to implement a system that could violate a person's privacy. Tactile manipulation of a digital desk is an intriguing prototype of a system that integrates a physical desk and a computer display. Virtuality, Inc. is a tongue in cheek look at virtual reality, and what it would be like if it were freely available. Also good for discussion issues in the social use of computers.
