Tuition Fees

Submitted by admin on Tue, 06/26/2007 - 11:50.

Students in thesis based programs are assessed fees based on their admission degree and the degree program they are registered in.

Students entering a Ph.D. program with a Master's degree pay full program (tuition) fees for two years. Students entering a Ph.D. program without a Master's degree or who transfer to a PhD program without completing their Master’s program pay full program fees for three years. Continuing registration fees are much lower for subsequent years of registration in the program.

Students entering the M.Sc. program with a four-year Bachelor's degree pay full tuition fees for one year. Continuing registration fees are much lower for subsequent years of registration in the program.

International students pay a differential fee of 100% for tuition fees.

Note:  Differential fees are assessed for MBA courses offered by the Haskayne School of Business, for undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Medicine and for undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Law. All students who take these courses are required to pay the differential fee. Students in thesis programs who take courses with differential fee assessments will be required to pay the differential fee assessment in addition to their normal program or continuing fees.

All students are also assessed Graduate Studies general fees once a year.

See the fees section of the current Faculty of Graduate Studies Calendar for current fee rates.

Late Charges:  Students who do not register by the fee payment deadline will be assessed a late registration fee of $60. Students who make course changes (i.e., additions or substitutions) after the fee payment deadline will be assessed a fee of $60 for each Change of Registration form.

Fees can be paid at the U of C Service Stop which is located in the MacKimmie Library Tower Block. Phone: (403) 210-7625. For additional information (such as online fee payment), please visit Enrolment Services Fees information page.  Graduate students can arrange to pay fees by monthly installments.
